We invite you to join our team of parents, teachers, staff and students of Sammamish High School working together to support the health, education, and welfare of all children in our community. Through our newsletter, committees, and monthly meetings, PTSA provides activities, events, and a communication link between parents, teachers, school administrators, and the community. Become a PTSA family member for $30 or an individual member for $17. SHS staff and students can join for $12.

Please join us for the first joint membership meeting of the year in the SHS Library. We will be voting on budgets and Standing Rules. All parents and students are welcome, and all members have a vote.

Amigos Unidos Rep
A collaborative committee between Latino Heat, Y.E.S., SHS PTSA, SHS Administration, and the BSD Counseling Department that identifies and supports the engagement of Spanish-speaking families at SHS.

Recognition for our educators and volunteers, e.g. Golden Acorn and Outstanding Educator.
BSF Representative
Each BSD school designates a Bellevue Schools Foundation Representative to be the liaison for BSF Events and Activities throughout the school year.

Coordinate communications of PSTA events and messages across communication channels—family newsletter (Hawk Squawk), SHS Community Facebook page, and SHS PTSA Boosters website.
Community Building (FACE)
Create connections among families, staff, and the school community through inclusive events, activities, and opportunities to get involved.
Cookies & Cards
A program that supports SHS Community by giving students an opportunity to recognize and celebrate staff while using creativity.

A committee that oversees distribution of PTSA funds to support curricular and other school programs.
Newsletter Editor
(Squak Hawk)
Editor for the weekly Newsletter for SHS Parents and Guardians. Articles include information from SHS PTSA, SHS Boosters, ASB, SHS Counselors, Athletics, Activities, Fundraisers, District news & opportunities.
Nominating Committee
A group of PTA members responsible for identifying and recommending qualified candidates for PTA officer positions for the upcoming school year.
Principal Coffee Coordinator
Coordinating coffee and treats supply for quarterly Principal-Parent coffee meetings.
Red+Black Mixer
Social event to build community and raise funds for direct grants to Sammamish High School. Event tentatively planned for February, followed with a two-week online fund drive.
SAT / ACT Prep
Class Coordinator
Committee that works to provide an opportunity for SAT / ACT Prep classes each Fall and Spring.
Staff Appreciation
Lift the spirits of SHS Staff by showing them how much families and students appreciate them.
Supply Drive Coordinator
Organize supply drives that provide snacks and other materials for the FCC, Nurse’s Office, and other departments.
Volunteer Coordinator
A singular PTSA Contact person to help coordinate any adult or student volunteer requests from SHS staff or PTSA leadership.

Keep the Sammamish PTSA and SHS Boosters website up to date with activities, events and opportunities offered by both organizations.
